Case is right.
The AI will switch to capitalisation or improvements when the unit count is breached.
Make sure all you tech tree paths are correct.
That causes crashes too...

Guk Guk was a great graphics designer and his looked great, but accuracy was not his specialty. Many of his units had the wrong uniforms, helmets, and weapons. It was all fine with me though because he gave a great foundation to work on.
P.S. Jim I see you are using my SNLF graphic. I thank you greatly, I always thought it was to good a graphic to never get used.
P.P.S. Why do you have two B-17's?

One is indeed a B-17 Flying Fortress, the other one is a B-29 Superfortress.

I know this but if there would be anything wrong I could not even load the savegame where I placed all the units.

I tried everything I could imagine. I do not know what to do now. It is not working.
I also tried to resave the file as scenario but it won´t work and civ always crashes.
Could someone have a look at it?

Send me your rules, events and save files, and I will cast my eye over it.
We must get this thing going!
A second set of eyes over the files may see something that you have missed.
Working long and hard on a scenario can be draining and it is easy to miss something...
I'll do my best to help you solve this.

Were you able to load the *.scn files too Curt? Loading the *.sav files is no problem but loading the *.scn makes Civ2 crashing.

I could load them OK, and the sav files.
It's very weird.
I also can't find any issues in your txt files.
Are you running XP?
And is your copy of MGE patched or upgraded?
I would recommend a file backup, and reinstall of MGE.
Firstly though try this new scn file I have made, and tell me if it too crashes.
If so, it is your copy of MGE that is at fault, and reinstall must be a option.

Some answers
Thanks for having a look at the files.
Yes, I´m running XP (don´t beat me for that ).
Basically I have the standard Civ2 and the Fantastic Worlds Add-on patched to MGE (because here in Austria it´s not possible to buy MGE anymore )

Yes, it crashes too. I do not understand why it crashes everytime. I never had problems with Civ2. I think I´m going to reinstall it.
Thanks for looking at it, Curt .

Dudes, I reinstalled my version of Civ2 MGE and I´m not able to load THIS scenario file. As I cannot work on this anymore I´m forced to stop this project. If anyone else is interested in some or all aspects of this scenario contact me and I´ll do what I can.
Sorry to confess this but it seems this will not be finished.
