How do you pronounce it? I hate the one way, it sounds so ****ing pompous.

According to my hard-back Webster's (c1971):

"ske-jewel (no 'd' sound)," she-jewel (no 'd' sound)," and "ske-dyule (no 'j' sound)" are all accepted pronounciations.
