Comrade Mike (not to be confused with glorious Comrade Micha ) hurried to catch the party bus before it will depart with all its great contents...
He wore a black suit, the trousers cut off at the knees and a large yellow-green striped tie losely hanging around his neck.
"Well, glorious Comrades, let us serve the Party the best we can now..." Mike said, entering the vehicle.
Glincing at Comrade Claire Forlani he added: "Comrades, I´d like to announce my willingness to help achieving the 10children goal..."

It helps a settler transforming into a King. What a glorious revolution to the social status of classes that is. Isn't that all the Hive is about?

In the absence of anywhere else to post it, here's breaking news:
Comrade Alinestra Covelia, a famous sidekick of ex-Chairman Yang in an alternate universe, has been spotted on Chiron and is making her way to the Hive. When she nears commlink range she will be contacting Chairman Voltaire for directions to her final destination

Finally! Somebody who could pose a real challenge to the deputy chairman in the race to emperor!

I wonder if it works in reverse.
"Look, and attack force of rovers. We better pull back our formers and crawler."
"But sir, I think there are..."
"Yes, I know, they have CHAOS ROVERS written on them."
"But, sir ..."
"We better hurry up"
"But, sir they only have laser guns."
"Oh, c***"

I'm sure even Ali couldn't compete with him if the race is about how many "I love you"s received.

Micha:
She (Alinestra Covelia) is a renowned Hive apologist in the general forums, and author of the (dare we say it), seminal work, Joe. Also renowned for her daring sexual innuendo double entendres
Go here for Joe. Go here for an example of her humour.
One of her more famous tricks in PBEMs was to rename her units as more powerful ones, knowing that she was infiltrated, so her impact synthsteel rovers became fusion plasma tanks, and her puny missile noodles became shard needlejets - needless to say she was never invaded as her fellow players, in calling up her nexus screen, just saw apparent overwhelming might
I haven't seen her appear yet, but I'm sure she will, as she asked for instructions on how to apply to join.

For lack of a better place to put it.
Let me guess. People are avoiding playing the industry game because nobody wants to read the rules. As the rules are too long and complicated?

I have managed to read through the rules. Believe me, every word of it. The problem is that comprehension is eluding me.
One thing is encouraging though that I got out from the rules. Sounds like that spamming is good because it helps the industry

Another good things is that we have managed to keep this thread from dying at the point of Jamski's gun. (And making it the most active non-sticky thread in the forum)

As for the industry game, I am reading the rules but:

Okay since everyone is having trouble.
Here's a shortened version of how to play.
To start
1. Copy the following and make a single post.
Quote:
|
Turn Number: (insert turn that's currently on the board)
Name: (Name of company)
Letter: (choose an unused letter of the alphabet)
Inital Industry: (post/10 or just 50, whichever is better)
Remaining Industry: (copy inital industry)
Buy: (choose an empty square), (cost of empty square is 1)
Buy Alliance: None
Production squares: 0
Production formations: None
Production total: 0
Production accumulated: 0
Cheating Noticed: None
Transfer: None
____________________________________________
Insert comments talking here
|
Replace the stuff in brackets
2. Idea is to get more production, so attempt to get squares that will make one of the patterns shown on the board.
When the turn number changes you edit the post you made and adjust the values. I will help people that are having trouble figuring out what to put.
3. Look at the example I put at the end of the rules. That should help you a fair bit.

My current mental state may not be very suited for the comprehensive game. I was even the first to lose in the simplest comrade (judge) Tass pick-a-card game.
I will attempt it when I recover my hit point or health.

HongHu,
You can't lose that fast with this game.
:P

Tassadar's pick a card game was a luck game. This isn't a luck game at all.
Nobody wants to play.
