ATTENTION! - The results of all those polls (for the lazy among us)
Here are the results for all those polls we've had floating around. Read and comment as you see fit.
#1 - What should the time limit be for playing a turn?
Started by Jamski
Question : "What should be the time limit for playing of turns?" - Winner : 48 hours 52.38%
- Second : 24 hours 28.57%
- Third : 36 hours 14.29%
21 people voted in 3 days.
#2 - How long after the time limit should a Penalty be appiled?
Started by Jamski
Question : "At what point should a "Penalty" (yet to be decided) be applied to the team?" - Winner : Warn the team when they pass the limit and apply the penalty 12 hours later 30.43%
- Equal Second : Apply the penalty as soon as the team is over the time limit 17.39%
- Equal Second : Warn the team when they pass the limit and apply the penalty more than 12 hours later 17.39%
23 people voted in 3 days
#3 - What should that Penalty be for first time offenders?- Started by Jamski
Question : "What should be the penalty for first time offenders?"
- Winner : A public warning from Googlie 31.82%
- Equal Second : No penalty, for this first offence 18.18%
- Equal Second : Googlie plays the turn to the best of his ability, and trys to follow the instructions left by the team 18.18%
22 People voted in 3 days
#4 - What should that Penalty be for second time offenders?
Started by Jamski
Question : "What should be the penalty for the second and further offences?" - Winner : Googlie simply presses "End turn" and posts the save 36.36%
- Close Second : Googlie plays the turn like a robot, following instructions left by the team, even if they make no sense or are incomplete 31.82%
- Third : Googlie plays the turn to the best of his ability, and trys to follow the instructions left by the team 13.64%
22 People voted in 3 days
#5 - UN voting conditions
Started by Tassadar
Question : "How should votes be conducted?" - Winner : 1 Nation, 1 Vote 45.83%
- Close Second : 1 Person, 1 Vote 41.67%
- Third : Xenobanana 8.33%
24 People voted in 3 days
#6 - Vote by Faction or by Person (Leaders Only)
Started by HongHu
Question : "Whether rules should be passed with 1 vote for each faction or 1 vote for each person" - Equal First : 1 PERSON 1 vote..........2 (Factions CyCon, Hive)
- Equal First : 1 FACTION, 1 vote........2 (Factions Drone, Pirate)
With the University still to provide a tie-breaker declaring an official "Abstain" vote, and the caveat that CyCon's position is 1 person 1 vote if NOT roleplaying but 1 faction 1 vote if roleplaying.

Started by HongHu
Question : "Whether rules should be passed with 1 vote for each faction or 1 vote for each person" - First : one person, one vote 71.43%

- Equal Second : No -this is a democracy game and the majority rules 15.79%
- Equal Second : The veto is limited ( write in limitations) 15.79%

OK people that's the raw numbers, to do with as you will. I think that with at least 20+ people voting in each poll we have a good barometer of public opinion on the subjects being debated. I'll step back now to let people post their comments on this thread and where we go from here.
Happy Demo-Gaming

Re: ATTENTION! - The results of all those polls (for the lazy among us)
Yay. So in my poll, 1 nation 1 vote wins by a narrow majority....But in Honghus poll, 1 person 1 vote wins by a mile.
Which do we go with?

Your poll is for UN voting conditions while HHs is more open. Perhaps we do need another poll.

I've edited the results to indicate Archaic's "Abstain" for the University.

Polls are what make life bearable... and what show us that the UN isn't that far off from what everybody else would do given the situation. -1 efficiency and all.

They might be fun, but it takes a great deal more than that to make life bearable

This is helping me immensly in understanding why the RL politicians are always talking and not doing anything.
