questions about patches
I've recently had a problem with my game and, to make a long story short, I'm now playing without the very first patch (1.16, I think?) on my computer. Ive kept and/or downloaded all subsequent patches but can't find this one anywhere? Does it matter? Does each patch contain the changes of its predecessor? Or are they discrete?
Any help would be appreciated.

I've been told that all patches supposedly include the previous patches, so you don't need the previous ones.

Panang, I have never seen a better example of someone speaking softly while carrying a big stick ("MY WORDS ARE BACKED WITH BIO-CHEMICAL WEAPONS"). I respect any TR fan.
Here's my next question:
Just got the PTW and can't seem to get into any games. Have Windows XP and only a dial-up modem. My computer told me to be concerned with Firewalls and to read the read-me. I am, in front of my computer, as dumb as wood. How do I find out if all the ports the read-me recommends be "open" are open? How do I learn if I have a firewall?
Thanks in advance, all.

The new patch 1.21 is out, be sure to install it, and see what happens

Look in the middle right, 'apolyton download center'

If you don't know you have a firewall, you probably havn't got one.
-
I havn't tried it, but dial-up and PTW aren't really a great combination I'm affraid.
(too much info (in sequence) needs to be transmitted).
-
PBEM works pretty good and there is a good, decent sized group of honest players around on Poly.

hi ,
héhéh
---------------------
well first of all do a windows upgrade ( tools - windows upgrade ) then go to www.zonelabs.com , get the pro or free version , surf to www.esafe.com 30 days for free , both a firewall and a virusscanner
that should do it for now
have a nice day
