Do you guys consider John Turturro to be a good actor?
I was just thinking about this the other day. I rarely see him mentioned when favorite actors are being talked about, so i was wondering, do you people rate him as an actor, and if not, why?

I was about to post "no way", but then I realized that you were talking about John Turturro and not John Travolta.

Turturro is good. I've seen him in cop/mob roles, as well as comedy roles.

I loved him in Barton Fink, and the few other of his roles that I've seen. I wonder if he got better by getting older, but so far, excellent impression
And how could I forget Jesus in the Big Lebowski ? He absolutely ruled ! The best scene of the Big Lebowski, along with Gutterballs

He is normally excellent, but I've seen him turning in a few sketchy performances. Overall, though,

Agreed. I can only see him so much at a time.
It isn't a fault of his acting though, it's just his personality that gets on my nerves sometimes.
I hope he doesn't appear in anymore Adam Sandler movies either.

Ditto. He was good in Barton Fink. He was great in O Brother Where Art Thou. He and John Mac were the the only redeeming qualities to that god awful movie Mr. Deeds. He's been good in basically everything I've seen him in, even in bad movies he's great.

Didn't like O Brother at all. It's my least favourite Coen Brothers movie.

I love Jesus Quintana in Big Lewbowski.
Apart from that, strange how he would ask that question in 2 forums.... johnnyboy dear, are you John Turturro?

Apparently he has the main support role to Matthew McConaughy in the upcoming Dirk Pitt action adventure movie Sahara. It seems like a reasonable choice of actors except for one thing - they wouldn't look right as best friends

Try the following summer, perhaps. They haven't started shooting yet, and they intend to do it right, so don't hold your breath!

I still haven't seen the Big leboswki. They never show it on hbo and such. I want to see it.
