Well he was born in Eastprussia which was then part of Germany, exactly in Kulmhof. Which today is Poland. So one could say he is Polish.
Jup he was Germany's foremost expert on tank warfare and the originator of the Blitzkrieg.

...but I hate all Nazi Generals

Ah, someone with taste Believe me, I've experienced this to be a very difficult virtue in my social circles (it's not like I could choose these people either)
But believe it or not, Rommel is actually quite popular in Germany. In Erlangen, which is the town I live next to, there even is an Erwin-Rommel street (in a quarter where there are Königsberger, Memel, Reichswald etc streets). What really gives me the creeps about that is the fact that this is a new quarter, built during the last 30 years or so

I think that the West German navy had a guided missile destroyer called the Rommel. What really cracks me up is that one of her sister ships was the Lutjens, named in honour of the knucklehead who commanded the Bismarck.

Wouldn't surprise me. A nice characterization of West Germany I read a while ago was: "Jurassic Park for fascists". It's worse than you may think.

The beta version is as good as finished now. There are only a few little things bugging me that I would apreciate some help on.
When you research some techs, the buildings change. For instance the Industrialization in regular civ (vanilla civ or whatever it's called).
How can you bypass this so that the bulidings don't change with those special techs? I would like to keep Japanese cities in the Japanese style...
CivTweak doesn't seem to fix this.

It´s easy. Change the industrialization tech slot for other. Make it unresearchable (prerequisite no); and locate the "new tech" that you put in the ind. slot in a new one.
The same happens with the railroad tech

Thanks!
If someone could be so kind to take the title.gif on page one of this thread, and convert it into a workable title.gif 87 non interlaced. For some reason it won't work on my comp
As soon as that is done, my scenario is do' diddely done and ready for playtest!
BTW: Many minor and minor changes has been made to the scenario.

Final Playtest Version (v.1.2)
I have made so many changes to the scenario now, that I don't remember them all.
Many changes visable to the eye, and many not. I don't bother listing it all here, since I don't think any of you would care for such If you do, i'd be happy to tell you
Anyways, now sounds are ready and the scenario is ready. I will open a playtest thread and see were everything goes from there
The new map:
Can you see any changes?
And the files:
Main files
Sounds 1
Sounds 2
Sounds 3
Hope you will join the Playtest PBEM game I will open on the PBEM thread. Please join!
The thread can be found

You know I would love to have the Italians as a playable civ, but as you know it we have that sucky 7-civs limit
Allright fellas! Here's the new version 1.4. Hopefully that will be the last one before I have to go into the military, because I am packing my stuff as we speak ¨
Several changes has been made, but the most visible changes are that planes and ships now has much more movement.

If you look at China's money situation in the above version, you understand that this is the *.scn-file you should be using
Just replace the *.scn-file from above with this one.
