If there's anything I've learned in the past year, it's that paying for forums isn't a bad idea. I've spent $20 on my something awful account - 10 for the initial account and 10 to upgrade to platinum - and it has been repayed many times over in terms of all the humor and stuff I get out of it. I'd gladly donate to apolyton.

If they would be, it wouldn't (potentialy) nearly raise as much money either.

Yup.
First thread of mine in the community.
First thread of mine toasted in less than 2 minutes.
I think you can say Ming has made his point clear.

I like to think this ad under my avatar is my personal donation to Poly. That's why I never asked it to be removed.
(Not like Markos would anyways. )

If you want the story, it's in the old Ads FAQ thread. I wonder why it got detopped....
Well you'll have to find it yourself. To make a long story short though, Markos was testing with a new ad placement and I requested that my title be an ad, in my attempts to get a custom title. It was a mixed success, and I like this ad just as it is.

How about a simple slip of paper like a Postcard of Support. You could pay $10 are something and they mail you a postcard. Postage on a postcard ought to be cheaper than the mugs, t-shirts and plush eagles.
Heck you get creative and have a "Greetings from Mingapulco" postcard autographed by Ming.

Mitch,
the ad would read better as "mrmitchell wears ApolytonWear thongs. Why don't you? See the evidence here." Now that would get people curious to click and see the picture, which wouldn't of course exist (or maybe you could make a few shots for us ), but instead you get redirected to ACS' CafePress store where you could order thongs (CafePress have ones in their catalog).

Like Ming would do that without wanting something like your soul in exchange.

Heck I'd sign postcards if it would help raise money.
But Rahcaltraz isn't as popular as Mingapulco.

The only way to make it famous is to send more people there. Are you volunteering.

Who says you need volunteers?
Seriously the autographs may be a better idea to raise a bit of cash.

You need more propoganda, uh I mean MEDIA, yes colorful and humorous media portraying Rahcaltraz.
I don't have a 3d ferret model, but I do have an opossum one. How would you like to be Lord of the Opossums?
I could make you a whole series of sarcastic images portraying opossums and half naked women.

Hmmmm, as tempting as that sounds, I think I'll stick with the ferrets. In our CIVII MP games, Opossums just wouldn't sound vicious enough.

The "over the wall men" shot was the one I was trying to find. This was the closest I could get.
Yes... come to Mingapulco... feed the atom furnaces... get beat by Voltons minions... die from radiation and heat... You got to love it

And I thought Rahlcatraz was a nasty place.
In comparison it seems like a vacation.
Three square meals and cable TV.
