Is HoI a nice game?
Hi,

I played EU2 and I like it a lot!

Is HoI a nice game too?

Why the German doesn't have the swastika flag?

Absolutely. If you liked EU2, you will like HOI.

It's against the law in Germany to use swastika anywhere, even in games.

HoI doesn't have quite the same depth as EU2 and hasn't yet reached the same level of completion (ie: Patches are still in the works) but as long as you like a good wargame you shouldn't be too disappointed.

There's a site (you can reach it through one of the sticky threads on the Paradox HoI forums) that has a number of alternate flags for many countries (including the Japanese "Rising sun" and the German Swastika or Maltese cross) if you wish to change. For previously stated reasons Paradox, being Swedish-based, couldn't legally include them in the game.

And its tooks place in very short (in comparison with EU2) time period 1936-1948. But it has more detailed technology tree. Battle system is different too (there are units- land divisions of various types, air divisions and various sea flotillas, instead of just xxxx+ infantrymens or cavalrymens.)

HoI is OK, but I have grown a bit tired of it now, in comparition to EU2 that I still play.
