While we are on the new IC story, I suggest there be a theme or something that this story is about, intially anyway, and an adversary or something immediate to work towards. Also, a mechanism for the characters to interact, be it working in a group or the use of a wireless link would keep the story bubbling. The lack of interaction is probably the downfall of the last IC story.
One reason why I restricted the use of Comrade Vev, is because he is a loner at nature and thus provide very little group interaction. Whereas a junior field agent spy, is meant to blend in and work with people, sometimes use them.

Would it be a separate story? It is just that I feel some of the juicier aspect of Hive IC would serve better within the Hive forum.

How about internally power struggles and externally interaction with Drones? All the trust and mistrust, plot and plan... Or would it be too complicated?

Marshal's old CD player
I realize that that CD player is too old. I tried to play a song for you but it took it so long before you could hear anything. Anybody would tell me what I could do about it?

Dear Deputy Chairman, you realize that we are currently in Chiron? And that there are no more things called "a newer CD player"?

Nonsense, we just send it to a workshop and re-label it with a popular brand new. Now you have a newer CD player.

Comrade Kody and Comrade Vev, I would like to consult your opinion regarding moving/copying all our Drone related IC story post to Drone's territory. It makes sense that it should happen there. Plus I would rather see further IC story posts that are not written in Haikus.

Marshal, who had you just killed? Why didn't you catch him and interrogate about who sent him?

Oh, it was just a nobody. And I know who sent him, it was the evil Jamski, I said something to that extent when they found the bug. The post was just to make a point and reinforce the soft, yet ruthless character of the Marshal.

(oh and because killing him is much more entertaining, )

hmmm... well, there is one person in particular the Marshal would like to have meet with his little relic.... but... that will have to wait, and who knows? We could end up being friends.

lol. Alrighty. Story Time.
Back in the 1970's the Soviet Union was lacking a specific force to fill the special operations niche in it's armed forces. They saw the US's SEALS, and I believe Delta Force was created right around then. Regardless, they had a serious case of size envy. So, the Soviet Leadership created a division called Spetsnaz. It was a very small, very elite group of soldiers. They were all veteran and trained to kill using any weapon they could find, including their hands, and take on any enemy that they would come up against. They were deployed in blocks of 15 men, but could join together for larger ops.
If my memory serves, and to illustrate their elite nature, I BELIEVE they were deployed a company (about 100 men) per Army (um... that really varies, lets say 4 divisions (40,000+ men)). There was a battlion strength per theater (800ish men, and a theater was ie eastern europe, um, middle east, siberia, the far east... and once again my memory may be off a little).
They were most recently used in the theater incident in Russia... rather unsucessfully (but NOT because of the Spetsnaz I might add). Historically, one of their shining moments came when the Soviets invaded afganistan. Immediately upon commencing hostilities a bunch of spetsnaz were dropped by helicopter onto the president of afganistans palace, and proceeded to liquidate everyone on the premisis.
Basically, they are an elite, highly trained, special operations unit from the soviety era.

Basically they are similar to the British/Australian SAS, or the US Delta Force.
(or, if you want a REALLY high class special force, Canada's JTF2 (w00t w00t!)... well, i guess they were more like the Airborne... until that was disbanded in '95 (curses 3vil politicians) Can you believe our government disbanded THE MOST effective combat unit in the world? grr.... *bitterness*... and they think Royal Canadian Regiment would "fill the niche"... uh hugh... they drive BIG LAV's... they don't drop out of airplanes... but, the JTF2 is better, however it IS special ops, not a combat force).
- Rokossovky..... *bitter*

That's the RCR
That's the airborne (notice the difference)
And that was the JTF 2 in Afganistan (ironically enough)

Comrade Vev? Marshal? If all agree, should everybody copy their posts in the order of time? (Marshal first, I believe, followed by Kody, then Vev, then me, then Vev, then me.) Or how should we do it?
p.s. Comrade Vev, better introduce your drama soon otherwise I don't know what to expect in Drones. Guess I'll wait for a while and let you and Comrade Forlani work it out.
