Needlejets causing crashes in Crossfire.
Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum but not to SMAC/X.
A recurring problem I've been having is that whenever either of the Alien factions attack me with needlejets my game crashes.
I have the latest patch installed.
I can't find a reference to this fault after doing a search, but I was hoping that this might have been discussed once.
Thanks for any help.

Are you sure you've characterized the problem well? Do you have interceptors in the cities that are being attacked?
Find out whether the trigger is really the presence of interceptors, rather than being attacked by aliens, and if that's the case, I've found Ctrl-Alt-Del + end-tasking Point32 works wonders.

As soon as the Alien needlejets attack any of my units in or out of cities the game crashes to desktop.
My normal solution is to start the game up from autosave and then go and capture the city that they come from.
Unfortunately, on the odd occasion where they have local superiority this isn't an option and I have to give up on the game.
It's mainly because of this that I tend to play SMAC.

Well, the other solution is to just play without aliens.

Maybe getting the no - CD crack would help.
