"Senior prom" tonight... what's left of my life at graduation!
(sort of drunk and stoned, so be courtious )
This kind of last of all evenings is rather family-oriented in this country, so you don't take a girl with you but your family, in my case my parents, brother who went to same school, grand parents (all 4). Nice exucse for no girl.
While I won't get into details, it was different from what I expected. After all it was not just "THE last party night and apart from that, nothing because you're gonna see them all in some summer parties". Somewhat it was, but in the end, the more or less final goodbyes were sort of unexpectedly melancholic.
While I had no hard time giving the last (unresponded, of course, sl*t and all) wave to my 11th grade love Anne (never posted much about it, forget it) as well as the earlier or former bunnies, and no big heartbreak at saying it to the ones that I used to consider my best friends in former times (different topic though, 8 months didn't pass me scarless) either, it did get quite difficult at some random (but quite nice) girls from the age group. And disappearing behind the curtain that would lead me t othe exit of the building (it's also usual to leave this kind of sh!t without the chick, a family thing as said, just that the family'd leave way earlier than you )... let's not say there was no movement... after all I had a hard time resisting the... say it... tee..a....r..... ugh
not much gained apart from a nice 94% grad score I have to say. made quite some losses (socially) lastely, but not qithout a reason. they were b!tches, all of them, let's face it. but maybe not, but I might only get to know all of the truth in tens of years, if ever. as for the bunnies, their fault I could say, but was there ever one without such a wrong?
it's one big pondering, but then the weed does do its contributition to the philosopher's mood but so do obvious facts anyway... now I'm to choose some uni, 'd like to go to Berlin, and I could if I certainly would with that score. not sure what to do though. where to go, so to speak. either way, education-wise or socially speaking.
hard days for Andy, help preventing a bad depression!
PS: yes, it might be interesting how the patient puts more wight onto the negatives than on his great efforts in schooling. that he achieved without any eager-beavering. just his mind. bad serotonine management?

damn.... This sucks, Andreas.
Well, I remember my "prom". here it is different, too, it's more of a show, and yes, the parents also come in, and all the people get their High-school graduation papers. ( Note: amusingly enough, that doesn't mean they have actually graduated, just that they've passed school ).
I was the evening's host, together with this rather foxy brunette chick, which is also now studying together with me at college.
First, there was this ( rather kickass ) comical play, that was student-written ( the writer is also a friend of mine, I posted a pic with her some time ago ), and the HS has hired a director/choreographer to help. The plot was that Satan hasn't graduated from our high-school, because he slept through the math final, and now he wants to make revenge, by making the HS final play fail ( Ironic, isn't it? ). It had plenty of dance routines, and lyrics written to the music of popular pop songs. ( Backstreet Boys and such. ). But the play itself was hillarious.
On that night, I also said goodbye to a girl I had a rather big crush on ( and I had the chance to be with her. nevermind that... ).
It was rather pleasant, and gave me a good, optimistic outlook on life. Now I am ending my first year in college, and it's a wholly new experience. Less people that I know here, but I keep in touch with my High-School friends.
Ahh, memories.

I didn't say a goodbye.. she's a classmate's sister... she just left at some point, without saying a word... going out, she had a glance in my direction, for a few seconds... gave a last wave, that's it, never gonna see 'er again
or anyone of the crowd, unless we'll meet at some partying occasion, which I doubt.

Woo! Had my prom type thingy on Friday. Was fun. Didn't drink, didn't screw, danced a little. Food was poor, company was good, seeing the people I want to see all over the summer anyway, and probably beyond, so the only major goodbyes were with the scum that I don't want to see again.
And our waiter looked like Saddam's body double.

Have my prom on Friday Should be great (I helped organise it). Can't wait. Prom until 1 in the morning, then out into town, the lot of us dressed in black tie. Will be one hell of a night. Even got an Havana cigar from Harrods for a little after dinner smoke, and a bottle of Bollinger pre-ordered... Life is good

Cigars are cool. Make you feel like the king of the world.
But I wouldn't buy them around friends. Makes you look like a show-off. Then again, that's not always a bad thing.
I can enjoy a cigar sometimes.
