That's three times "almost" in a row.
Reminds me of Sir Robin, the not quite so brave as Sir Lancelot,
who had nearly fought the Dragon of Angnor,
who nearly stood up to the vicious Chicken of Bristol
and who personally wet himself in the Battle of Badon Hill.

Second bump! Where is Cerberus? He's posting in other threads. Maybe we should resend the save? ADG?

Sorry about the delay, a slight technical problem. The memory module on my keyboard/mouse input unit failed. It's fixed now and should be OK in future.
(Translation: I forgot to play the turn and have mentally given myself a good kicking for it)
10BC to Ghengis
As for the mighty german armada, it seems they mistook a fishermans cottage for the Ottoman empire. Not surprising when you consider how backward the germans are.
BTW latest score - Ocean 1 Ottoman Galleys 0

Then I hope he wasn't born on your island. Speaking of which, in my current game of Port Royale my "hide out" is now the largest city in the New World and we don't have any churches......
Bet that just grates on the Pope's nerves............

Bleh. The Lord was born in the Province of Iudaea (more precise in Galilee) and then brought by his stepfather Joseph to Egypt, together with Maria, his mother. So he was of course born on Eli's island.

I don't get your logic, Ghengis. May be because there is none. The Lord was crucified, and still we built cathedrals to worship him.

It meant, what it said.
"Nah, ..." was a reply to your question ("Does this mean we won't be able to build Cathedrals?"), and "..., it means a Crusade" was an assumption, what is coming instead.
I had a few beers, well, may be you should also have some?

30AD to Ghengis.
It's simple really. Now that the Messiah is dead individuals hungry for political power can reinterpret his message to suit their own ends, oppress the masses and launch wars of conquest whilst asserting a moral claim to divine authorisation.
Trouble is the Ottomans will have to wait for Navigation before launching a crusade against Eliland. That doesn't really fit with this flat earth/go too far and you'll fall off the edge stuff. Time for a rewrite of the rule book.

Yes our navagational scientitist have so far proven the fall of the earth formula to be entirely too accurate. I fear these Round Earth theroists are incorrect.
