It seems to be just an overlay, like forests. Zooming in with photoshop shows it as being in a grassland tile...

Hi!
Indeed, I bet all you beta testers just laugh, at all of our assumptions and theories.
Well anyway, here is a much closer look. The fourth screenshot shows many things, after closer inspection.
I’m not sure if that’s a New Resource on the mountain, or if that’s a new terrain tile. So I included a close-up.
But I’m sure, that “V” hasn’t been there before. What about the 3-man Chariot, taking 22 turns to built, that sounds like a lot, so early.
original screen-shot, with commentary!
maybe that's just some regular Gems on the left, but the terrain does seem new!

Taking a guess on the 'V': Since the 'H' for Histograph is missing, maybe they just renamed it the Victory screen since the Histograph does give a lot of info concerning closeness to Victory.

Is it new to Conquests to optionally have action buttons along the right instead of bottom of the screen (see first screen shot) or was this in PTW too?

Hi Guys,
I'm having trouble accessing the link to Boomtown, so I was wondering if someone out there could post ALL of the screenshots here within this thread .
Thanks in advance.

Hi!
The action buttons are from PTW. But the "V" is different, in PTW there is an "H" button in it's place.
I think you're right Falconius. I guess the "V" does stand for victory screen. I'm guessing the Histograph has been changed somewhat.

Panag refers to the screenshot in the article DarkCloud scanned previously in the thread.
I suppose all special Japanese units are the same as those who were shipped with PtW. The warrior Monk of PtW looks like this:

Maybe I just can't see 'cause I can't get a close-up - but does the tile just west of the volcano seem to have a resource on it? It looks like it might be jade...

Aren't all of those Asian units from the TeTurkhan scenario? I remember the warrior monk is the Tibetan UU, and is 1/5/1. Considering most of their cities are in the mountains, that adds up to one badass defender.

funny, they said that the Incans would have a speedy scout, but on that 2nd screenshot, the "Chasqui Scout" is merely 1.1.1.
