My grandpa was a bad elderly driver before he passed away. The last time I drove with him he almost killed us and other people. When people honked at him he just flipped them off.

Looks like the same stuff cultural conservatives (and Al Gore) over here wanted to ban. Just replace anti-communism with anti-religion.

I find it funny because most of the communists I know are punks (and vice versa) and love Madness.

As for Van Halen, well, they should be banned for contributing to the big hair thing.

I'm kind of curious about the placement of The Stooges on there, considering they'd been split for about twelve years at this point and all the other bands (well, the ones I know) were more-or-less highly active during this period, or at least had been less than five years previously. Any idea why? Did russian youth have a special place for The Stooges in their hearts? Did our good friends in the Komsomol recognise quality when they saw it? (Considering the rest of the list, no.)

Okay so after a little creative googling I found another list that is much the same as the first one, but which purports to be from 1984 (dated September 28). Of course this one is typed in and isn't a scanned image but there are other differences as well. Some artists aren't there while some are new, like:
