In retrospect, I'd like to retract my earlier statement, that Savage makes Ann Coulter look like DinoDoc.
I've come to realize that this is very insulting to DinoDoc, and I'd like to apologize to him.

illegal immigrants don't collect welfare, AFAIK... they work under the table... by legalizing and cataloging, we can begin to tax their income. DUH!

National Policies are not a good basis of fact. I think I would base all facts of illegal immigration on those boarder states; Florida, Texas, New Mexico, California, and any state that is unlucky enough to boarder Canada...
I would leave immigration laws up to them as well, as they are the ones most affected by them (or the lack of them)... Like I really want Wyoming deciding what kind of vermin are running all over my state nor the kind of vermin that are actually running my state..

I would agree that states should have more of a say on immigration policies and controls, but the people are still entering the US, not just a state. Since citizenship and legal residence is determined by the Fed, I'd like to see them set some ground rules. The states can go from there.

I'd like to see the Fed do anything about changing immigration laws. Unfortunatly, they care more about what is happening in other countries...

I agree. I think it would be wise to explore a reorganization of the government. Personally, I think the President's position should be seperated into two positions. One for domestic, one for foreign. Like two consuls in Rome. Each would have different responsibilities and each would have to sign off on certain pieces of legislation. I'd also like to see the Cabinet positions be filled like parliaments... proportionally according to popular votes. But all that is a topic for a different thread.

Sales tax. Property tax (passed on in the form of increased rent).

I dont always agree with Savage but I like him.
If you were to take everything Savage says as truth, then all teenagers are doing drugs, all teenage girls are getting pregnant, every girl has at least one abortion, and the US is one giant near communist lovefest.
This transcript that was at the beginning of the thread sounds like it has been cookie cut to fit the authors intentions. Ile bet anything that if you take it in context with the WHOLE conversation it is not that bad (ile watch the show thursday cause i have it on tape) if it even is an insult.
Do not be suprised to see him back on tv because his show cut foxnews ratings in third and blew away CNN in the ratings

the article says it was only marginally better ratings.
I actually did watch his first episode on tv. It wasn't that good. He came on with sunglasses on. TV personalities should not wear sunglasses!! he acted like it was a radio show. It was funny because nothign worked right. They were trying to take calls and nothing was coming through.
But I'm sure his rating slipped. He did good the first week, but he just doesn't have that tv personality.

I don't like bigots. and he sounds like one.
His Paul Revere society is a thinly veiled excuse for white dominance if you ask me.
In theory it sounds good. But we all know what he means by "culture". If he was talking about family values I would support that. But somehow I think he is talking about something else.
But I must protest an early poster saying O Reilly bashes liberals all the time. You are confusing him with Hannity- who does that day and night. O Reilly is hard on people yes, but he is hard on conservatives as well.

how many people here listen to or watch savage on a regular basis? sarcasm obviously offends people..
have any of you watched "the last supper?" i would recommend it to all liberals and conservatives.
so does that mean everything that doesn't match with your own liberal belief system is wrong?
lets all get socialized medicine while were at it and wait for the offbrand medication that doesnt work to get here in a year!
