1000 civgroup members
Well, the first peak for the civgroups is reached.
It's good to see that my script got to good use.

Ack, more people wearing dull little icons like some stupid badges. Those would be better in the member profile pages.

Nice
I bet the number of people who actually actively participate in the groups for which they are members (especially the DG groups) is a lot smaller than 1000 though

That would make it a lot more difficult to find people to play MP with; or to find out if someone is a citizen/team member of a certain demogame (team) or not.

Is that 1000 unique members? Or are people in more than 1 civgroup counted multiple times?

The Civgroups pages serve that purpose better, IMO.

To the best of my knowledge, 1K unique. Otherwise, we would be around 5K, with people like Trip, Apoc, and those who are in lots of CivGroups.

The Civgroups are little tucked away things that I doubt (m)any of the n00bs that could use them most notice. Badges work nicely as they are, thank you.

I can't think of any reason why. I was just curious.

Cool, but we can always use more active DG participants.
Especially in the Civ2DG.
Lots of positions open in our next elections. Don't like the current administration, you can run yourself.

Maybe we should add a HoF civgroup, get all the people in that need to be, and then is there a way to restrict membership past that?

Nope, a lot of the people there are inactive, so that page means little for some groups.

And who here really visits the civgroup pages anyway? without the sidebar links to them under people's names, they're a pain to visit

Meh, wear your fancy icons then. However they simply clutter the left column of the postbit and make the avatar less visible.

It looks a bit chaotic at times I agree but it serves it purpose well.
Why does it make the avatar less visible?
