I was playing a game (obviously) as the scandinavians. And during one of chinas turns the stole 4 of my fighters! What happend was that I built an airfield close to the edge of a peninsula, the second square from the edge. There I placed about 8 fighters on air superiority and I also had two MI fortified there. The square the furthest out was chinese because of an overseas town with heaps of culture. I wasn't at war with China but I had a MMP with germany. During chinas previous turn they landed a settler and a couple of units on the edge of the peninsula. And here is when it goes weird.
First they try to bomb one of germanys resources, triggering our MMP. I shoot 4 of their bombers down and sit there smiling. Then they settle a town
on "their" part of the peninsula. Not wery suprising since they had a town there before, but still interesting considering my 20 odd troops (MI/MA) btw 1-2 squares away.
So far so good. What I expected was that the airfield as going to be disbanded and my planes moved to my closest town but no... When it's my run both the airfield and the two MI are still there but on the airfield is 4 CHINESE fighters. The weird part is that when I checked with my mil advisors the previous turn they only had 1 fighter. I figured that they probably got my planes since they are inside their cultural borders and deside to take them back. I do this but moving one of my MI out from the air field and then back. What happends then is that it fights my other MI! I manage to win and expect that I'll get my planes back but no... There are still 4 chinese planes on the airfield with my MI on top. Then I rase the town and move more troops there but still 4 chinese planes underneath... After checking with the mil advisors I see that they now have 5 fighters!
I'm playing PtW v 1.01. This is just plain weird. I figured that the reason they got four planes was that they couldn't move since the had fought the same round. But could someone explain why it's impossible to destroy them?
