No, Deity played as as he always plays, as George W. Bush - invade and invent the reasons later.

Wow Carolus I see you've mastered the +3, popularised by War and Hydey, and now also practiced by Finbar.

Overall, the MP forum seems to have turned into an "Aussie + Moderators and friends" - spam fest.

exactly because it has even less substance and worth than the ot. sometimes people in the ot actually have a reason to post, whereas here that is not so.

Simple, really. 99.5% of the posters in the OT Forum are moronic pre-pubescents. Here, the figure's closer to - well, I'll get back to you on that one.

Absolutely. In the Onion game Makeo set absurd sea restrictions and threatened to attack any boats below a certain latitude. I did attack him pre-emptively and for the first time ever. He always attacked me first in all previous games. We all know what a war-monger he really is.
Generally, I only attack civs run by players who've attacked me before. finbar was an accident....
Because he was Makeo's ally in the Onion game I pre-emptively attacked him too My rep did not slip from spotless BTW. It is true that finbar had never attacked me in any previous games but he paid the price for allying with Makeo and supporting the absurd sea restrictions...

LOL!
Exactly
This is the game where Horse had promised to attack finbar for millenia... trouble is he still only had horses and couldn't work out where to put his invasion city
Also he did some crazy tech trade deals. Like trading to give Makeo Steam when Makeo didn't have several of the pre-requisites!
In fact the more I think about the Onion Island game the more I realise that many of the secrets have not been revealed... particularly with regard to Horse's secret alliance with me and Hydey
It's true!

[/LURKER]
You mean you take a persons previous actions into account when playing them in future games ? I would think the idea of civ is that each game is a new game, do all of you take past actions into account in each game ? Wouldn't that make the game more like playing the AI?
I would think that the main advantage of MP over SP is that human players, unlike AI are unpredictable . If you take past actions into account, it seems to indicate that humans are also predictable which in my opinion is a bad thing . Admittedly, I haven't played as many MP games as I would have liked, but what you allude to is the primary thing I like about Civ MP, that each time you play the game is different, even though the "humans" may be the same, they are leading a new civ, and the slate is wiped clean so to speak.
What think you all on this?

Hm, since I belong to neither group my effort to add to the, er, discussion might be in danger.
So either I start kissing up to the moderators or I emigrate and start living in Australia. For those who do both, which is worse?
