Anyone think this incident will make the Canadians a little more supportive of America's hard-line on Iran?

Quite correct. We can (and I assume are) exerting whatever diplomatic pressure we have in our pockets in order to:
a) Get the Iranians to produce the body
b) Get some straighter answers
c) Punish them for acting like *******s (so that they might think twice next time)
But that's about all we can do.

I don't know. There is always the option of severing diplo ties (or reducing their level). It's generally not good for a country like Iran when we do that, because we often bring some Euro countries with us. Given that the US is acting all hot and bothered about Iran currently I doubt they want to feel too isolated diplomatically...

Really now. As though we're going to support Lord Bush's "kill them all and let God sort 'em out" geopolitical "strategy" simply because the Iranians have done something completely in keeping with my expectations of them.
If and when they start killing people here, it'll be time to think about something other than a diplomatic response. Until then the two have nothing to do with each other. Unless, of course, you'd like to wage war on Saudi Arabia for us because of their treatment of Robert Sampson and the like?

Why didn't this title just say she was also a Iranian citizen. She is clearly guilty.

BTW, Asher (I know you probably know this, but for the illumination of others who have brought this up): the Canadian government's response should not and will not be any different because of the fact that she also held Iranian citizenship. Dual citizenship doesn't mean two second-class citizenships (unless you're a half-breed Yank)
But this again raises a point: I'd like to see dual citizenship restricted to countries where it won't tend to cause problems. In other words the US, Western Europe and Japan.

Well normally I would say that it should be obvious that Iran is just bad. But you know, the U.S. goverment has killed more people than the Iranian goverment (Gulf War 1 and 2). I guess I can't defend the U.S.
It's obvious the U.S. should not have nuclear weapons.

Bad loser? You have managed to make yourself look like an idiot in this discussion. It was all your own doing.

laurentius, would you please leave my thread alone? If I wanted to argue on your level, I'd go find Paul Reubens.

I won't drop this until you get a clue about the subject.
So concede defeat. I stack these reasonable responses and you in return, post nothing of any value.

All I know is, I was happy to find to so many posts on my thread -- until I looked in and realized most of them were you and Fez ****ing each other.
