India MOD
i still can't understand why india wasn't included in ron.
but anyway, i was thinking of replacing one of the civs with india. i think korea would do nicely, becos of the temple advantage and the citizen thing too.
thoughts:
india, power of spirituality (or something else?), cheaper temple stuff
unique units: elephant line replacing heavy cavalry line. ++hit points & attack but slower
upgrades to arjun main battle tank in modern.
maybe food output/farm bonus?
what do y'all think? i know nothing about modding so if someone's interested in getting down and dirty, i can do the planning and stuff..

Well its a good idea, but...the elephants would have to be then hugely overpowered and slow, which makes them weak against archers and weak against heavy infantry. If you then, will make them fast and have hitpoints like that of normal cavalry, there will be really no point, it will be as if having a Dumbo unit replace a fighter starting in the modern age (Dumbo, jet Dumbo, advanced Dumbo).
As for the bonuses, what is the point of having cheaper temple upgrades, when koreans recieve them for free? And as for the farm bonuses Egyptians have 7 farms, which means you will be relly doing the same thing, and basically copying egyptians' and koreans' bonuses.
The whole idea sounds pretty good for a mod though, but its no good for the expansion. On the other hand, it will be like including Sapotec (a mexican tribe) or I dont know, Canada civs in the game. This is exactly the reason why BHG didnt include civs like khmers or americans in the game and had made 18 civs insdead for 81.
Well hope for the best, maybe India civ will be included in the expansion. I mean I, myself would like to see an India civ come out, but then, the question is, what bonuses or nations powers should it get, without hampering with the game's original balance and gameplay, and being realistic?

i dont think it would necessarily have to have completely original civ powers. a combo of two existing civs could work, since maybe some people like some of the powers of one and some of the power of another and wished they had both.
besides which there is A LOT of demand for India to be in an RTS (hopefully RoN will step up) so many has missed this boat its not funny.
anyways a India mod would be great.

Just a correction. moguls weren't spiritual, they were muslims, so therefore they should have the power of faith or something
