I do have a nice, purty preferences dialog box to do that, no need for msconfig.
I still can't the find that nice, purty Outlook Express preferences dialog box to stop messenger from starting whenever I start Outlook though

I did it. The Msconfig thing. Worked good. Wonder what all that other stuff is that starts up. Computers are hard to understand.
I assume I'm done now. No need to worry about that Outlook crap, right? MsCOnfig got it done, no?

You always have to worry about that Outlook crap. I wish there was a way to get rid of it altogether. Asher?

The answer is to never install 'real' anything anymore. They've been ****ing bastards since RP4 or so (which didnt try to take over your PC).

I put them on there. The real format and player were (and are) pretty good. I just strongly disagree with the 'strongarm' tactics of the installers and the fact that you can't get rid of it all unless you are comfortable with slashing through the registry.
As far as I'm concerned, installing 'Real' is no different than installing spyware on your own PC.
