We'll see in the next, for example, UK elections if the people didn't support the war. After all, Blair went UP inpolls after the fall of Baghdad and has only suffered recently from the "sexed up" dossiers.

Would you really want someone like mr. Berlusconis support? Do you even want to be in the same crowd with people like Berlosconi, Aznar and Howard?

It's not the crowd, it's (a) the cause and (b) our national interests.

Judging from your tone, I'd say you consider them the scum that lives on the backs of the scum that feeds off stale piss on rail station toilet floor. They're not THAT bad .
Then again, Berlusconi probably is .

Kramerman, Nah I don't call you a cold hearted bastard...you know if it was two of us in control of the situation.. there would have been only three words said 'fire' 'NICE SHOT!' I don't condemn people for partying. It's just not me. I am pleased though.
You know what that nietzsche guy said that when you're taking out monsters, you need to watch out you won't become one. I take it seriously, I think all fighting should be done without passion in order it to be effective...
Distance yourself a bit, be analytical about it, respect the enemy for its abilities and strike hard. Outcome is not celebrating for my personally, it's just a job done. But I am pleased. It goes both ways.. not enjoying yourself too much, and not get down when you're getting crushed. Yeah what am I talking about, I even wasn't there..just posting to internet about it.. I'm such a TOOL
But I do think it was a bit irresponsible for news stations to give out the guy who supposedly gave them away. They said it was the house owner so.. IMO that's BAD. And then show pictures of the neighbourhood. If I was in resistance, I'd know my next target now. It is important to keep the locals in little fear and not too comfortable, and now would be a good time to show what happens when you sell out. I don't know, maybe they have evacuated the guy, but his relatives are not safe IMO. I think they're dead in the next 24 hours.

About sums it up for me.
I would much rather have seen these guys put on trial by the Iraqis for crimes against humanity, and have their fate be decided by Iraqis. That would have been the most fitting punishment.
But, they obviously wanted to go down fighting. Two less rotten people to worry about.

The most fitting punishment would have been for the Iraqis to have there go at these two monsters.
Captured interrogated and then turned over for the Iraqi's to execute slowly err... I mean try.
I'm not necessarily thrilled we killed the monsters but I am extremely hopeful that this quiets the region down brings stability andmost importantly takes our folks out of harms way.

I'm hopeful it also encourages someone to cash in on the $25 million bounty we put on Saddam.
