Well, it's certainly an acquired taste. When you were here did you get off base much? A former soldier who was stationed in Japan told me that some soldiers never left the base except to go on exercises or visit another base. That seems too bad because there's lots to do and see in a foreign country. I've been here almost 9 years and there are still lots of things I want to do!

I left base every chance I got, which was every weekend at least. Most soldiers are just mad that they had to leave the US and seem to blame it all on Korea.

Hmmm, my cat threw a lamp on the floor causing a power surge as I was about to press 'end turn' , and I don't feel like replaying it today.
Luckely not too much combat involved in this turn, so I won't have to reload too many times to get the same results, well, I hope.
I apologise on behalf (sp?) of my cat

'behalf' was spelt correctly. 'Luckily' was not.
Your cat is the one who thinks he's a lion? Thank him on behalf of the Korean people who have luckily just gotten a little more time to live.

OK,ok,ok,ok.. hold your horses...
Didn't have to reload, just needed a cat turn more then the previous one I played, doesn't really matter.

Nothing to regret this turn, except for what you were more then likely expecting, will change soon though....

Large stack of Ottomans stand in the city eyeing up the Persians on the hill on the horizon. Large stack of Persians on the hill eye the city.
Nothing to report.

Well, I've taken out all of Alva's invading army with my elite archer. Do you surrender or do you want him to swim across the channel and climb your city walls?
*sigh*

I lost a couple of units but it was worth it.
In more news, the first skirmish between the Persins and the Ottomans has been an historical victory in favour of the Persian empire.

IIRC I lost 3 or 4 immortals. I could have gone after those but that would meant using muskets which I was not prepared to do.
Were they fortified btw, 'cause not one retreated? That is bad luck from your side.
