let me be your first victim of selfnomination and megalomania...I,the Pharao, direct descendant of our Gods, wich to rule one more month over our gloriuos country and finish of the barbaric tribes outside our borders.
Those Roman slaves can do quite some work for the imperium.

Well, I think I will run for *some*office this time, I just haven't decided which one. It is good to be President, but Minister of War sounds interesting, too. I really enjoyed wiping out the competing civs in Demo Game #1.
Still, I am loyal to my Demo Game and may choose to serve in any position not sought by others. I'll see what develops tomorrow.

If you're waiting for a report, I'll get it sent off today I didn't know we were on deadline for this.
And, to stay on topic: since I'm on vacation in August, I think I will refrain from running next month.

Though I know he said he was unable to run in for July, I nominate Atawa for President in August.
Though I am pleased with the job of King Shade , I would like to see a different King/President every month , and I have it on good authority that Atawa, who has apparently been around demo games for quite a while, has never been President .
/me , outgoing Science Minister

It would be nice to see some new citizens step up and try their hand at running some part of the government. I would be highly disposed to supporting new candidates for Ministers.

He's not the only one.
I don't think I'll have the ability to run for a position until I go back to school in September with my good civ cd.
I'll still be an active citizen, so whoever becomes the new cityplanner won't have much slack.

Given that no one else seems interested in the position next term, I will stand for election as Minister of War.

My fellow citizens, as it is summer and about half my colleagues are either on sickleave or holiday I have to work 45-50 hours a week.
So unless its an easy job I wont have time to run for anything again this month

It is understood that some Citizens are not available to serve as Ministers in the next term. Real Life intrudes, some of us are away from our computers, we have different schedules for the Summer, etc.
But surely there are some among us who *are* available to serve, even if they have not previously or are unsure of the requirements.
Every person who was ever a Minister did it for the first time once, not knowing if they were up to the task. I assure you, it is not fatal. You will survive the attempt and you will be pleased you did it.
We are a team. We help each other. What you are uncertain of, someone else has already done. Ask and you will be enlightened.

Though I have enjoyed the past Month as Science Minister, I am unavailable for a good portion of the Month of August (holidays ) and as a result am unable to give the time committment required. I do intend to run again in September for a position, and will actively be participating as a citizen in August.
/me Science Minister
Edit: Being a minister has more benefits then negatives , and is a fun and refreshing way to look at the game of Civ , so I encourage all, even those new to the Forums, or new to Democracy games, to put their names up for election. No need to necessarily put your name up for President right away, Science or Foreign Minister seem like a good place to "get your feet wet" so to speak. Get involved people!

Well, I'll have some time off between semesters, but towards the end of the month I will be starting up again. So I guess you can put me in as a candidate for the Office of City Planner till then.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for foriegn minister, this will be my last month of summer, not sure if my schedule will allow me to be in office in september. I'll also be using university computers for internet for a few days in late august as well before I can get an ISP

Yes we did. So actually all we are missing now is a Minister of Science.

I think our past polls and the President's discretion can handle that.

Historian
The historian is still alive, just sentenced at the moment to about three weeks without web access on some of the more reputable regional cess pools. If anyoneknows of anything exicting to do in Luanda, please send me an email. I am going further insane.
I am slowly catching up with the back log and will post the next monolithic novella soonest.
