The Veteran's Contest is Online
Here's what I was talking about in the PLATO thread:
http://apolyton.net/about/5years/veterans_contest.shtml
Please check it out and try to win discounts at the apolyton store.
It's just 50 questions... how hard can it be?
Thank you dan for doing the radio button poll!

So you think you have a banning rod now Solver- don't you
LORD SOLVER: {In a threatening voice} any party crashers (know-it-alls) will be banned
(I can foresee some newbies asking questions in the OT)

I thought after a year and a half here I should be able to answer a few of the questions but I'm totally stumped. Whoever wins this definitely deserves fifty percent off an Apolyton mug.

Nice questions, though I've got no clue about most answers... I guess I haven't been around for that long time I should have

Just when I was thinking of myself as a veteran...
But I knew the answers to some of them, had a guess at the rest.

I think there should have been a question on the post stats challenge, involvement in which has become quite widespread.
Obviously I am completely unbiased though.

Post Stats challenge? You mean who leads the memberlist in # of posts?

Don't worry Skanky The questions are so varied that most people have a hard time completing it. Why, even I could only have gotten about 20-30 right if I hadn't done the research

Some real tough questions... But yes, being around since the beginning helps a lot. But there still a few I would have simply guessed on...
Thanks for putting it together DC... and Thanks to Dan for making it happen and easy to do.

Yes, some of the questions brought back memories...while others I just had to take and educated guess at.
Excellent questionaire DC!

It was set up to be NOT just a OT trivia contest. DC did a good job.
Somebody already has another OT triva contest ready to roll when this one is over with. It will be coming to a thread near you soon I'm sure many of you OTF'ers will do much better on that.

I'm certainly not a veteran, but will attempt to answer the questions anyway.
I'm resisiting the temptation to request a rather tasteless write-in answer to the first question.
/edit:
With all those DemoGames questions hlf of it might as well be titled "Apolyton N00b quiz". Some of the stuff really goes a long way back into the mists of time, though, doesn't it?

Again... nobody was really meant to know all the answers. And yeah, the Demo games are well represented, because they are an important part of the forums. DC did his best to balance it.
