The other thread gave me an idea...has anyone ever finished a game of rogue? if so, how the heck did you do it? the only way, imho, is to search like 5-10 times every step once you get to like level 10 or so, and if you do that, you run out of food.

also: what monster in rogue seems to kill you all the time? me->> T.

rogue is quite hard and it is very luck dependent. I have never played Epyx's version, just the original and an enhanced version called ultrarogue.

For example, if you have a ring of searching and a ring of sustain food, it'd be a lot easier for you to avoid traps.

Trolls can be nasty depending on your character. It's not often that you can find (or make) a massively enhanced leather armour, so a ring of regeneration is very important. Lacking that, a ring of random teleportation is useful. You also should try to complete a loop on a level first, and look for stairs down.
