I can see that in an MP game the strategy might tend toward a quick punch rather than longer development & bigger punch. It seems that those posters who win with higher difficulties (no ads, all dis-ads, etc.) seem to favor that.
If that is the case, there are not THAT many 'difficult' choices/worthwhile 2nd choices in a number of the early techs.
Haven't played multiplayer (in any computer game) yet.

oldnslow, try a hotseat game vs yourself, it takes some patience, but you can get a feel for how each race will do in relation to each other. Also for you people who can't win on impossible, see if you can with 2 races under your control in such a setup, and remember that only one of them needs to be creative, though there are benefits to both being creative, and you can't pick repulsive there either.
