Backgrounds? I noticed today that I only use X to multiplex xterms and run Mozilla Firebird... so I'm playing around with doing everything except web browsing on a radeonfb terminal now. And when they get that DirectFB backend for GDK working well enough for me, damnit, I'm going to run Firebird on top of that.
