Are you volunteering to take up collection Panag?
Again, if money showed up without a return address, what could DanQ do?

hi ,
yes , why not , panag goes around with a hat
well since Dan is a bright person and he would know that it comes from " us " at poly but not exactly from who as an individual he would probably accept it , ..... either that or give it away to charity , .....
but its up to Dan to decide what he would do with it , we cant force him to do something or to accept something just like that , ......
have a nice day

Spend it on alcoholic beverages and then not wake up for 24 hours. In the meantime, Poly will have crashed and no-one will be around to get the hosts to reset it.
Is that really what you want?

Hi everyone.
To be clear, please do not mail me computer hardware... unless it's a donation towards my own personal PC.
Apolyton's server is physically located in Houston, Texas where our host RackShack is situated. I have never even seen a picture of 'Settler II' (the server) let alone actually be in the same room with it... *sniff*... or 'Settler I' while we had it for that matter... *sniff* *sniff*...

Dan's answer from the #221 Thread:
"It is our hope that if and when we are able to get an optional subscriptional service in place, which would provide non-content related perks for those who subscribe, that this will be more or less a direct way of supporting this site financially; there will, of course, be a nominal percentage charged by whatever outfit we select to handle such electronic payments. Given the direct perks that would be received by any subscriber, this would not be a donation but rather a payment for services rendered.
We are not a registered or a non-registered charity and, as such, do not feel comfortable involving ourselves in donation situations. Nonetheless, we are extremely appreciative of such expressions of financial support for this site such as yours."

I saw the inconsistency in his statement as well. I thought about posting something similar actually, but something about tempting the hand of god stopped me
