Forum been unreliable recently?
Just about every time I Poly, I encounter a short service outage about a couple minutes long when the forum pages just won't load. What's going on?

Yes, it has been sporadic. Fortunately for just short periods.

Yeah, it's really annoying at times... like when you are about to submit a long post... and suddenly... bzzt.
It goes out so often

like when you are about to submit a long post
|
If you are submitting long posts you should prepare them in a good text editor (like emacs) where you have real editing capabilities and can view the entire post at once. That way you will not lose long posts.

On the long ones that I don't prep in an editor, I'll copy it to the buffer right before submitting, just in case.

I generally tried to use Rah's method, but it took too much effort. So I went with Spikey's method and installed Opera.

As I said in a different thread:
Only solutions that decrease either the length or number of connections will help.
