oh dear...
ok i have a little problem. basically, because it's hot i now start work at 6AM, have a break from 11 till 3 and then work from 3-6PM. before lunch my boss it was ok i didn't come back this afternoon, because it's a pain in the arse for me to drive back and forth, but i felt a bit of a git not working as he's just given me the day off on friday to come to the poly meet ( , although i told him something different ). so i decide to take a siesta from about one to half two, i woke up ten minutes ago
so do i:
a) phone him, tell him and what happend and appologise
b) don't call him, but appologise in the morning
c) don't call him, and act like nothing happend in the morning
advice?

I would say option "A" or "B." Calling him now lets your boss know that you know that you messed up. If you don'tthink it's that big of an issue, and don't want to disturb him today, wait until tomorrow morning and apologize. If you take option "C," your boss might feel that your taking advantage of his good nature.

Be a man.
Tell him your wife/girlfriend/mother called and you had an emergency at home.

Unless he is a "do not disturb" person, call and apologise. If not, apologise tomorrow.

If you didn't call me, I'd write you up, and put it in your file.
Build a case, in case I have to fire you.

Do you at least make up an excuse for why you didn't show up? Or did you just him that you never woke up?

i told him the truth, he knows my family, so i could get caught out. honesty is always the best policy (when there's a risk of being caught ).
