Never thought about a sandwich. Thanks for the lunch idea elijah!

Cheddar or Red Leicester cheese (red cheese) or both, in mayonaise, with chopped onion and seasoning. Pickled onions could work. Put in sandwich!

In the USA they have a nice flavor "Sour Cream and Onion" which is similar to Cheese and Onion.

Prawn cocktail is nice, I have to say. It actually tastes better than the real thing, unless you use enough cayenne pepper!

I never had sour cream, does it taste similar to S&V?
|
No . Sour cream is very nice. I also like Sour Cream & Chives. Get 'em if you can.

We actually call them crisps.
Were you just searching through the ancient threads before you decided to bump this one? I'm honoured!

Not really. More like half-way between Cheese & Onion and Prawn Cocktail, but nicer and not more or less a variant of the everpresent english theme of Rusk, which makes all taste variations minimal.
Pringles come in Sour Cream and Onion in the UK IIRC. Might wanna buy a small tube fo those to test.

In order...
Salt & Vinegar (the stronger the better, 1 in every 10 packets of Walkers is about right)
Prawn Cocktail
Cheese & Onion
Pickled Onion
Definitely not: Smoky bacon, BBQ, Ready Salted, not sure about chicken either.

Prawn cocktail chips??? Must be a Euro thing.
Plain, S&V, or Jalapeño are the only ones I would choose, but when others have provided BBQ or Bacon I've liked them.
Personally, I'm a tortilla chip and salsa man…
/me thinks that would be a great idea for a lame thread

Roast turkey and oxo cube flavour. Had them once and never been able to find them again.

The absolute best potato chip is 'Cape Cod', especially the new Nantucket Spice flavor... yum.

This thread is making me hungry. About Cheddar, I was in Paris last week - supposed cheese capital of the world. I went into a fromagerie but saw nothing interesting. I really wanted some cheddar and tried in broken French to ask for something -like- cheddar. The shopkeeper became very agitated and said something about no English cheese here and refused to talk to me anymore. I wound up buying some Gouda...

Trying to buy English cheese in France is a very bad idea.
