I like older ones bought cheaply on second hand video:

Zero Population Growth, Nasty Habits, The Ultimate Warrior, The Wild Party, Sunday Too Far Away, The Lottery, Blue Sunshine...

Most of them I watch when I should be watching something more improving, like Last Year in Marienbad, Shoah, or Bleak Moments...

Battle Royal. Have you ever seen that one? I's it seriously ****ed up. If you've never seen it, and you want to see some disturbing **** (nothing as bad as Requiem for a Dream or Blue Velvet, and not in the same way either) you should check that one out.

It's a crazy Asian movie, so you might not be able to find it at a normal rental place. I think it was done in '98.

I have to throw my hat into the 10 things... ring too but am proud to share my embarrassment with Wombat and Makeo. Usually feel-good films just make me even more misanthropic but this really works! (Whiter than white too)

Blues Brothers is a pretty awful film, but the old soul stars and their singing cameos are great.

Bear in mind that these are coming from someone who fell asleep in Schindler's List and had all the old ladies tutting at him as they made their way out.

You wouldn't know good cinema if it bit you in the butt!

I like chick flicks... there I said it. Not all of them mind you, but most.

Legally Blonde
Maid in Manhattan
Everafter
Pretty Woman

I don't usually tell ppl that, but as I am married I can just say that she made me watch them... And when she said "well, you rented them" in front of all my friends I just reply with "'cause I wanted to get laid!!"

I read the Hairy Potter books and I secretly wanted to see the movie but didn't want people to know. I ended up taking my niece and nephew to see it just so I could claim "I was just taking the kids to see the movie".

I'm not embarassed to admit this, but most people probably would be:

I own Freddy Got Fingered. It is as near to comic perfection as possible.

Pretty Woman was fine. Maid in Manhattan was one of the five worst films it's ever been my misfortune to watch.

Too Wong Foo was great -- and I really liked the Birdcage.

Philadelphia was awesome.

Deliberately, no. If I haven't seen them I can continue to believe that they were good.

I secretly watch "Krull". I don't know why, I just do.

I also will watch any movie that has Johnny Depp in it.

For some odd reason I loved Kentucky Fried Movie when I saw it on video in the mid 80's. I'll just have to chalk it up to being a pre-teen boy. :/

How can it be a secret if I admit it here?

Seriously, I've always enjoyed terrible B-horror movies (even before Rob Zombie made this popular), but I've never made a secret of it.

On the other hand, alot of those European soft-core films are hilarious. There was one where the world ran out of fossil fuels but some Italian scientists devised a way to get energy from sex. That was an all time classic. Also, the faux philosophical musings of the early Emmanuel movies always leaves me in stitches. I used to like Skin-a-max, but now they only play these contemporary soft-core films that lack the humor and wit of the earlier sort.

I'm gay too, and I can't stand 'Pretty Woman' or 'Maid in Manhattan'.

'Birdcage' is so inferior to 'La Cage Aux Folles' in almost every way, it's hard to believe anyone could take the same film and turn it into such a remade espece de merde. But then George Sluizer did the same with 'the Vanishing', so...

'Philadelphia' is o.k. in parts, but the deification of Tom Hanks (I thought he was going to whip a *** out and start suckling his sister's baby, fer Crissakes) gets nauseating.

'To Wong Foo' I didn't really enjoy, but 'Jeffery' was very funny. 'Priscilla' was a much better drag film than 'Wong Foo', I thought.

I just wished there was a film about gay male relationships as good as Donna Deitch's 'Desert Hearts'.

Still, playing lesbians proved to be almost a kiss of death for the careers of Helen Shaver and Patricia Charbonneau...

I enjoyed 'Kentucky Fried Movie' though... 'Catholic High School Girls in Trouble'...very funny.

Thank you, Ted.

Reese:

Films that I watch "in secret":

Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion - Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow as ditzy bimbos who wear short skirts and skimpy tops - what right does any man have in asking more from a movie? How about Janeane Garofalo? She's in it too.

Beauty and the Beast (1991): Love this movie so much I made a 300+ mile road trip to catch it on IMAX.

The English Patient. Well, I thought it deserved its Academy Award.

Since we all love the talented and lovely Reese, it is no shame to admit that I really, really like "Election."
