SCreen no working?? vid card prob?

I installed this sick game. restarted my pc.

went to play civ 3, it loads, then the monitor goes into standby mode or something and i cant c nothing.

I click around, and I hear like menu button sounds, so I know it loaded. But somehow I cant c anything, y?

does it have to do anything with my video card? like do i need 3d accelerator?

Plz help me A-SAP!!!!!

Try updating your video card drivers, that usually fixes the problem.

Also, check out how your monitor is recognized in the device manager. If it's seen as a plug and play monitor, try changing it to whatever it *really* is. This resolved some CivIII video issues for me anyway.

Is you monitor set to 800x600? If it is set it to 1024x768 and see if it works.

What graphics accelerator do you currently have? Also remember that you need at least 8 MB video RAM.
