All Windows NT/2K/XP/2003 Users, Very Important Message
Use Windows Update now and download all critical updates unless you want to join the list of people who are affected by the latest worm which crashes Windows. It's spreading at a record pace.

How old is the exploit? I seem to have all of the updates installed already and I haven't updated in ages.

Since I try to update every program I've ever owned on a daily basis, I guess I'm in the clear.
How can you live, knowing there's a patch out there you don't have?

Heh. Somebody tried to get me with this exploit the other day. Tried to install an FTP server in my startup directory...then forgot to put .exe on the end of it so Windows didn't know what to do with it when it restarted after crashing.

According to the AP, it's already spread into tens of thousands of computers — businesses, universities, home ... you name it, it's spreading. It's calling itself Skynet.

Does this have anything to do with something that restarts your computer? I've gotten that three times today.

I have it.
MSBlast/W32Blaster... whatever you want it to call it.
It won't let me update. It stops me every time.
I performed the Symantec removal process for this specific worm. It said it worked. I doublechecked. It said the worm was gone.
But it lives on. And my computer is once again 10 seconds from restarting.
HELP ME!

Easy, just go to the list of programs in the start menu, and way at the top will be a link for windows update. Just need to be connected to the internet.
