I'm trying to recall a specific thread I created that had very little responses.

I love it -- I give you ****, and you give me **** back.
But seriously -- I can't remember a thread that I was really disappointed in a low number of responses? For it to be low, I guess it would have to be under 20.

I thought my Casino Cash would have attracted a lot of interest, but clearly apolyton members are too rich to bother with such nonsense.

Go to the archive and at the bottom of the list of threads, choose "sort by thread starter" from "the beginning." You'll end up with 595 or so pages, but at least you can now easily find your threads by using the little doohickey that allows you to select from a list of page numbers.

i think i've had numerous threads reach 500 posts, dissident... what you got to do is say something controversial (but not to the point that people start claiming you're trolling) and have MtG, Imran, Dave Floyd, Chegitz, Sava, and a few others take notice... that's an easy 500 right there...
which is weird how you never reached it considering you do the exact same thing

None of my threads get much response. Either someone else creates a copycat thread that does really well (even I end up posting more in theirs than mine) or they really suk and have no purpose...
oh well no worries

Actually, as long as I have an open license to gripe, it's be nice if someone other than Mercator would respond to my "balancing the Flag" thread in Sleague(hint, hint/vulcan nerve pinch)...

I had this great thread that everyone would like. The thread wasn't great, but it had a very cool attachment. I couldn't figure out how to post the attachment at first, so everyone lost interest and it never got any hype and stuff. Well, here's the thread. You have to go through 7 or 8 posts (not pages) before you find the attachment though.
Here it is http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...threadid=87299
If it is bumped I think it is doing Apolyton good.

well AS, I do that a lot. I've had several controversial threads. They usually get to around 300 posts, but no more.

That's sad. I never heard about it though.
I think I have at least 2 threads to go over 500 posts, but I'm not going to look for them. One was posted before I got into politics (and knew anything about them) and was an idiot conservative. I'm sure you all remember. It was 'Like it or not Euros, we're the best country in the world'.
The other one, posted once I learned much more about the world, was 'Stupid patriotic Americans'.

Canucks go wild when the topic is about their politics. I remember that one too. It was impossible to keep up. Good job

Politics is a bloodsport in Canada.
There are so many issues that are just never resolved, but instead sit around lingering in people's minds.

Oh yes I remember. It was an impressive thread I remember you begun with a disclaimer (about how you used the word "best" to describe the numberoneness of the US), and I remember everybody ignored it to do an America-bashing thread
You should be pretty proud of this one, because it'll remain in the memories

Yeah, that thread was a classic. The thing is, I live in Idaho, I've never been to Europe, and I was new to OT on Apolyton. So I had no exposure to leftist thinking. None at all. So I had no idea that saying the US is best country was rude at all. I thought it was perfectly ok. I also was shocked by the opinions of Bush. I had never heard anyone say things like 'the war in Iraq is a terrible idea' and I had never heard such anti-Bush things. So I was shocked when I first came to the OT. But now I'm used to it and I'm a leftist myself.

This thread I liked writing a lot, but of course very few people read it because of the strange topic, which was the Chinese porn industry. I reckon it was a good post.

I'm not going searching for them but most of my threads get roughly 3 hits then die. I'm also good at threadkilling other people's threads. One of my best attempts was in OT with What is your job/are you trained to do. I got fifty hits on that. It was truly a happy day.

The fires up here are crazy. It is because the weird weather we've had this summer. Normally, we have a rainy June, July in upper 80s on average but with an occasional hotspell, and then August is on average early 90s but we get a weeklong hotspell that is lower 100s.
This summer we had a very hot June with little rain, an extremely hot July (for 3 weeks it was upper 90s lower 100s), and a normal August. It actually did rain some in early August but lightning went with it, so I don't think it hurt the fires. This equates to extreme fire danger. At the dept. of wildlife building here they have fire danger signs that say low, medium, and high. But it has been especially hot and dry the last couple of summers so they added a new one called 'very high'. Now this summer the fire danger was so high they made another sign called 'extreme'.
That's cool your brother in law lives in Spokane. My family does a lot of the shopping there. I will go to school their next year because I want a better education (i'll be going to Gonzaga Prep instead of the Idaho public schools, which aren't too good).

Poor Stefu and his Chester A. Arthur thread smashed to smitherines... Now thats something to complain about...
My brother-in-law teaches high school in Rearden,WA... Says that most of the schools around there suk. The prep school should be fun, and Gonzaga is a good school John Stockton! Good B-ball.
