What's been stuck in your head?
Ack! In mine it's "Philidelphia Freedom" by Elton John. I heard it on the television the other day and it's been lodged there ever since. I guess I should be grateful that it wasn't "Island Girl", but still.
What sort of repetitive thought or song has been keeping you company recently?

Some fast tune from West Side Story, don't know the name. It's there the whole day, don't know why. Some 2 weeks ago, the played the musical at a festival and there were TV reports about it. Maybe that's why...

Well, usually it's some tune by Judas Priest or Iron Maiden -even though I'm not really a metal fan! For a while it was "New York, New York", I don't know why, I haven't heard that song for years.
Right now it's "It's a long way to Tipperary".
I never know why.

I don't know that one well enough for it to get any traction, and I'd prefer to keep it that way. How old is that song?

Currently nothing, thankfully.
The worst case of a tune-stuck-in-my-head was with the Twin Peaks opening tune. And that one repeated weekly.

No, FP is not the only one. However, I believe we are a very small minority.

I heard people say... too much of anything is no good for you baby... but I don't know about that... cause many times we've loved and we've shared love and made love... it doesn't seem too many like it's enough... it's just not enough... it's just not enough...
cue music...
My darling I... can't get enough of your love baby...

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No more colors anymore, I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see a line of cars and they're all painted black
Flowers and my love, never to come back
I could not foresee this thing happening to you
No more will my green see turn a deeper blue
|
I wish I could remember the whole thing.....
edit: just found the lyrics

No. I sort of knew what it was going to be about, but figured I'd make a smart-ass response if nobody else had mentioned it.
Right now I've got "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield in my head. That comes from watching Boogie Nights yesterday. I don't mind. It's a pretty decent song...

A few years back PBS had a documentry on the Civil War in which they played Dixie every 30 seconds. I'm not joking when I say I haf the tone to Dixie stuck in my head for MONTHS after that.

The last thing in my head is a break from Double Dee & Steiniks Lessons 3 (history of hip of) and the spot would be where the piano starts going and dudes singing 'let's dance.. let's dance to the drum and beat, let's dance, let's dance because it sounds so sweet'. I can't get it out of my head and it's one of the best things I've ever heard in my life. I figure non of you have heard it though, which is bad..
