This is definitly the first pbem I regret to have joined.
It sounded like fun at first but now......
Hey, I know, I was away for a few weeks too but I'm not sure anyone has noticed it.
This is so damn slow I think I'll quit if it does not change anyday soon!

Don't worry, Darekill; that would imply that a turn would get sent at all...

I agree with Darekill, I have no idea why this pbem has taken so long to move but it needs to be axed.

OK - this had a great starting line up and a great theme.
May I suggest - Conquests Balderdash!
Forget the nonsense about the start - and forget in-depth planning.
Random civs, random everything, small map. Mass regicide? Why. Go with a standard start. The small map will ensure we mix it up early.
And oh yes - you still have to make the 'appropriate' post. As in "Ghengis - get your stinkin a** off my land." That sort of thing. Or "War, what war. We know of no war that you could possible be referring to."
And no customization of the civs. Go with what you get - and just play on. Are you guys in?

And we can go random on all civs - or random on just the new ones.

Here.
There is absolutely no way I will take part in this game.
If you sign me in I'll be mad. So please don't sign me up.
I will never play a turn I have no Conquests at all. Not even the original US Version that took weeks to come over the ocean.
Also in anderen Worten und auf gut Deutsch: Ich bin dabei

You aren't mad are you, Darekill. I know you had lost desire for this game due to its painstakingly incredibley horrendus slow crawl of a pace but are you upset with us switching to Conquests?

4 players on a small map might be a good set-up. Unless we get some more takers in the next 24 hours, I say let's start it up!

Small map? Is that something personal? Are you simply used to small things? Is this a racial characteristic of your civ?
Standard! Or Large!

Hey friends. This is now not Balderdash. I just wrote the absolute oposite of what I really wanted.
Thought you could read that between the lines...
No, I'm not mad.
Yes, I want to take part.
Yes, I have Conquests.
I'd prefere Standard btw.

No large. I am playing a large map game now - and as a builder exercise - it is well, OK. As a balderdash, down-and-dirty, you-bunch-of-scum-bags type game - no way.
I insist - small - map. Or standard if we get 6-8 players.
(Pleeeeaaaaasssse GF. Please.)
I will PM GK and UNo. And if not - I am sure I know a few more folks who would love to be involved.

I got it the first time around Darekill. Some in this forum are quicker than others.
Great that you are in. This should be fun.

So - quick poll.
Random civs?
1. yes
2. no
If no - I suggest I will roll a die to see who picks first. I will pick last as I am rolling the die, and there are more than a handful of civs I enjoy playing with.

I'm tweaking up my Cutthroat Scenario right now, any chance of using it. I would be more than willing to play a small map with it.

Its the Epic game with my Bank Your Booty rules and about 8 Hidden Nationality units added in, a few that enslave for Workers.
Oh, and you can't build workers, you have to vassalize them.

Hmmm...
Why can't we just use as much standard as possible?
These extra rules always confuse me a bit.
Oh and get this game going fast. I'd like to see some asses kicked. Not necesarily mine first but...

I'd be interested in resurecting Balderdash - you heretics, infidels, wothless Civ Players, but I will not have much time til after the holidays.

Agreed on all points.
(but just humour GF for a bit until we get the game going. )
There are 6 of us so far. I will make one ot two more inquiries - and then we get the game going.
Question - (and I know I should know the answer) can you play with 7 or 8 civs on a standard size map?
And I need to know: Random civs - or do we pick!!!!
The only vote so far is Darekill's - which I think was for random.
