2 horribly gruesome deaths in 1 thread
Here we go, 2 horribly gruesome, completely seperate events in one thread. In the first, a doctor was getting onto an elevator, when the doors closed, pinning him there. The elevator then went upwards, severing his head:
http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/front/2052396
And in the 2nd event, a carnival worker was working on a ride when his long hair got caught in one of the ride cars and he was lifted 40 feet before being scalped and falling to his death:
http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/...20Hair%20Death
The moral of these stories? DON'T RIDE ELEVATORS OR HAVE LONG HAIR.

Oh, I get it. It's one of those "haha, human suffering" moments? Well, I shall join in the laughter:
Ha Ha. People who aren't me nor have any emotional connection to me endured emotional/physical torment that resulted in a cessation of metabolism. Ha.

B*tch if you want Starchild; some of us have adopt black humor and an interest in the macabre to handle the painful realities of death. I'd rather not feel terrible every time someone buys the farm, because death, and likely a terrifying and painful one, is the only thing we are sure of in this life. So, make the most of it.
And, though I hope to die quickly and peacefully, if someone can get a wicked chuckle out of my demise, that's fine by me. At least my end brought laughter to someone.

I just think it's funny when people I don't know die. It makes my day to know that some other sucker bought the farm when all my friends, relatives and associates are safe and well.

So a black humoured observation on black humour *wasn't* the way to make friends? Good to know.
And hey, two less meatbags on top of that. My day's looking up.

I thought elevators had safety methods that prevented people from getting pinned in between the doors.

Don't the blacks cancel each other out, making it white humor?
BTW, I didn't see it as a black-humored response, but a disapprovingly sarcastic response. If I erred, I apologize.
And even if you completely disapprove of my mordant humor, it's no obstacle to friendship. Many of my friends disapprove of my sense of humor, but friends see past things like that.
Not that I'm accepting any more friends at present - all slots are filled. I'll apprise you of any openings and put you on the list. Hint: your spot on the list moves up if you are of actual use to me beyond just being interesting, like being rich or easily manipulated.

Don't elevators close when they detect a foreign object between the two doors?
The ones here in Logan do...In fact, it's commonplace to put a foot in front of the doors in order to keep them open for others.

WAAAAY OT, but does anyone else think that at the end of Thelma and Louise, that Brad Pitt should have driven his car off a cliff instead of those two geniuses?
Not that I think Brad Pitt should die, but it would have been more fair than letting those two b1tches have all the fun.

This isn't particularly gruesome. But I always was fascinated with electrocution as a form of dying.
We got 1/2 inch rain in about 10 mintues on the strip last night. Which isn't much compared to how much we had when I lived in Mississippi, but a lot out in the desert.
Well there was a construction zone, and apparantly there were some underground wires that were pulled up. And apparantly the wires had breaks in them. Well a woman ignored a security guard who told her to stay out of a construction zone on the strip. She sloshed through 12 inches of water and electrocuted herself. The entire pond of water was "hot". She had no shoes, but they said even with shoes she would have been toasted. Though the guy trying to rescue her got shocked, but not seriously.
Just to show that rain in the desert can be deadly
As for the decapitation. Well that is really freaky, as there was a woman in the elevator with him. Imagine witnessing something like that.

Meatbag has a way of slipping into my conversations. Especially when talking to a meatbag who doesn't get my subtle body language that I'd rather thread barbed wire into my brain via a gronial artery than continue talking to it.
Present company excluded of course.

Just read an updated report online from a Texas newspaper that said earlier reports of decapitation were incorrect. A part of his head was severed, but he wasn't decapitated. But apparantly this woman in the elevator witnessed it all....
