Rammstein's "Du Hast" in Aufstieg?
Hello Fellow Civers,
I come to you tonight with a simple question or two.
I want to have Aufstieg start off with "Du Hast" playing to pump up the player. I dont think that anything can be more appropriate for a WW2 scenario than 6 ticked off Germans saying "you hate me" over and over again lol. What do you all think?
Thank you,

YES!!! I Also think that Jesus Balsinde should have put DMX's Ruff Ryderz Anthem in his Cuba scenario.

Hm... Doesn't it mean "you have me?"

IMO, modern heavy metal music would be inappropriate for a WWII scenario. It would stick out like a hippie music in "Kelly's Heroes".
Couldn't you find anything from the "Triumph of the Will" soundtrack?

Well, im no Rammstein or German expert, but, i believe the band states that they ment "you hate me"... not sure though, either way still kinda works lol.
I dont really think that this song will stick out to bad... I meen, unless you are a veteran of the war and grew up with the songs of that time period... Besides, it certainly sets the mood for the scenario. There will be two songs from relativly modern times that will be featured in the scenario:
Du Hast, to be played at the beggining of the scenario.
"Springtime for Hitler", to be played during the credits of the scenario.
Also, in the middle of the scenario, when Warsaw is liberated by the Soviets, I have a neat Polish song about drinking at a wedding, and great celebration, which could in some weird way be twisted to fit into the scenario =).
Thank you,

Yuck, I hate Rammstein.
'I hate you' means 'Ich haße dich' or now spelled 'Ich hasse dich'.
A song called 'Du hast' or 'Ich habe' makes little sense, unless you could put in some quotes here.
BTW, John, do you speak German?

"Just surrender and it won't hurt at all"

You nailed that one Jim... I figure after the scenario is over, you will need a little cheer up for doing so horribly =)
Thanks,

"Springtime for Hitler"?
Is this from the Gene Wilder movie where they try to scam the backers of a flop musical? It also had that guy from a "A Funny Happened on the Way to the Forum"--Zero somebody.
