I was an extra in the film Eddie and the Cruisers . I was in a TV commercial for Fresno, CA's local news station's 11 o'clock news .
I once opened a theatre door at the same moment Don Rickles was coming through the other side. I guess he thought I was opening it for him because as he barreled through the door he mumbled, "Thanks, Kid."
I've served meals to George Carlin and to the music group the Commodores.
I guess those last two items aren't really "15 minutes" material, but I've typed them already so consider it a bonus...

Oh, and I was seen on local TV's coverage of the aftermath Villanova University's 1985 NCAA basketball championship title. They went onto campus to get student reaction to the win and I was part of the drunken screaming mass of students yelling and chanting in the background while the reporter gave a live report.

Hey, Glonkers: How the **** do I change the password on a Solaris workstation? I'm supposed to "use the 'passwd' command" but I have no idea how to get to what in Windows would be the command prompt.
Apparently I'm using Solaris 2.7.

Which window manager is it using? Gnome or something?
There should be a link somewhere called Terminal, which is the command window. Frequently it's basically a black box.

Man, they're anal ***** when it comes to passwords. Wouldn't let me use a word, and the computer was smart enough that when I changed the e's to 3s and the s's to 5s it was still able to recognise the ****ing word.

Yeah, it's a real pain in the ass.
The ones at my school for CS is unusually strict:
No words allowed
At least 8 characters.
At least 1 number.
At least 1 symbol.
At least 1 uppercase letter.
At least 1 lowercase letter.

I can speak some, enough to figure out what he says.
My best friend is (unfortunately) a left-wing German-born Dutch bastard.

That statement makes no sense. He's either German or Dutch, and either a bastard or your best friend.
Or he's a bastard as in unmarital child of a German born and a Dutch. That'd make sense then.
Not if he's German born himself though. Unless, however, both of his parents are Dutch.

He could be born in Germany to Dutch parents.

It's complicated. One of his parents is German, the other is Dutch.
He's got dual Dutch/Canadian citizenship now, and no German citizenship, and speaks English, Dutch, and German fluently without an accent, and has lived here for most of his life since his parents are both profs & researchers in biochem at the uni.
And he's a bastard because he's a bastard, but still my friend. He's not a bastard to me.

Anyone who tells a prof to her face that she "dresses like it's halloween" and brings binoculars to a lecture to make a point about how bad & small a prof's writing is, is a bastard.

I assure you, he was not.
The prof who dressed like Halloween was a 45-year old Buffy nut, she wore cape-like things, mesh shirts, tight leather pants, etc. It was sickening.
And the other prof, grr, everyone hated her... She wrote incredibly small, and very lightly, in sloppy writing.

It's kinda fitting that I've only had two female profs, and both of them were terrible.

One of my websites was mentioned in Animerica. I've been in a couple papers and such as well, but nothing special there.

I was interviewed for the show "Real People" back in the early 80's when my neighborhood in Utah had a rash of kidnappings.
Unfortunately, I don't know if it actually made it onto the TV show or not.
 ACK!

I went to a boys-only choirschool, and incidentally the only on in Holland. So I've been on the news once (well, standing next to the kid who was talking), and I've performed in all sorts of places (in Holland and abroad), including an opera, I've sung on two CD's and I think even a movie soundtrack... And all before I turned 14.
But since I was always one of the shortest until about 17yo, in most cases you can find me on choir photos/performances etc. by looking for the gap.
Other than that, I used to play in a band for a short while, back in 1997. With one gig, in some local youth center we got a little news item + photo (of us playing the vast crowd... not) in a local newspaper.
I can't remember anything beyond that... And the choir bit doesn't really count.
So, to sum it up, I've had about... 5 seconds of fame.

You know, for you to get even I should actually do something to you. So again, I ask you what is your problem?
