Sorry John, we seem to have our wires crossed here - the game we took over from skrobism had not yet got Trade! hence no Caravans - either you are thinking of a different game or we have played the wrong save ...

The big question is, "what happened to the Skrobism Lighthouse?" Did it get built with the change of turns in the year 500ad?
If not. Oh well. That is the way of Succession games.
Did we ever get improvements to that throne room?
What is 'Xinning'?
Good job.

AD1855-AD1864 (10 turns) Player 9
Ten turn/ten year intervals continue until the end of the game.
|
I just thought this should be moved to the new AKC thread. Things to consider: Sag Canoer quit and is out of the rotation; Dr_S and HsFB were having problems with game turn around and have been skipped over.
Last I heard the Scouse Gits passed a save to SilverDragon.

Paging a Mr Dragon. Paging SilverDragon. You have a call on the blue phone. Paging SilverDragon.
The Scouse Gits passed the save to SD on December 3. So much for my wild plan to get two rounds in by Tuesday.
Taurus and DaveV are you ready and willing if SD does not respond?
I have to commend the Gits. They were obviously too busy for a full turn. They took a mini-turn and passed the game on. Some people just sit on the game for days - weeks.
When MWHC started us on this idea, based on what he saw done with SimCity, maybe it was just a cruel trick. Notice how he never signed up to play? He didn't warn us of these delays. I have a reign of terror to bring to the AKC's world. :P And I can't be delayed by real world silliness. There are armies to be built; nations to be razed; serious sleazing to be done. To arms! To Arms!
Two legs?
I don't know what I am rambling about. Work is REAL slow today.

I'd like to be in a succession game, but now I suffer from a lack of Multiplayer gold. I'm using 2.42 or whatever the latest is. So would I be able to play on this using my version of Civ II?
Thanks.

Yes you can, and I don't see why you shouldn't play next if everyone else is happy with that.

Sorry - haven't been following this carefully enough - do I understand that SilverDragon has vanished and that I have the latest save game - thus it's all my fault -- if I've got this right I shall send a copy to Farmboy when I get home.
Farmboy - is the e-mail in your profile good for receiving attachments??
Sorry about any delay guys,

Welcome to the game Farmboy!
We also have a No ICS 2.42 game going. You can probably ask to sign up there too.

Farmboy,
If I am reading the order of turns (see above) correctly, you are replacing SilverDragon in the order. This is everyone's second go at the game. So, you have 10 turns this time.
As for goals you could try reading the Histories at Scouse Gits Site. Or look throgh the thread for any hints at a goal. The Gits played last, they might know what their goals were. But that is the interesting part of the Succession. I might tell you exactally what my goals for the AKC are and you can ignore those. At the end of your turn, you surrender power to the next leader.
Good luck.
