Making Money
I'm not really bad at other aspects of Civ 3, but I can't make money for my life. Is there anyway you can make money while being productive and putting 100% into science or would I need to lower the science to get into the black?

There are not many ways. You could gets some trade that paid gpt. You can't get by at 80%? Are you gaining enough after 80 or 90 to make it worth doing?

The best thing is to increase the amount you generate so you can lower the rate and still get the same research. To this end you would want to road and use tile bordering rivers. Tile that have gold and increase gold. Not build structures that are not profitable at that point in time. Use taxmen.
