Understood...BUT

there are now 3 settlers irrigating(next session there will be 4 , believe it or not but that 4th one will even be irrigating mountains )

the one near Desolation will make it get to size 5 faster, then it can start irrigating in the direction of Heretics village.

the one south of Imperialis is on his way to Pax(which needs irrigation if it wants to grow ever(now it will grow into starvation) and can then be directed toward Newton.
The one next to Majestica should change direction(good that you remind me) and start going over the mountains toward Dominion.

I know most of our cities don't need irrigation NOW(and the core is connected with roads now) but when we become Fundi we won't just be able to create a lot of settlers and just start irrigating the surrounding airea of the cities. Water will have to come over long distances.

an other note: a size 5 city has only 4 workers it can use(one has to be an elvis) by giving irrigation to eg Imperialis only 2 workers are needed on grassland while 2 of then can work in the forests giving us 4 shields(instead of max 2).
(the need to squeeze )

Quote:
or add them to some size 4 cities to make them size 5 and Xinnable.
(last time I told that, there were ppl crying: " Of with his head!!!" )

Once we reach Fundy we will have no happiness problems, so we can use this time to bulk up our cash a bit, and spped the construction of as many happiness impreovements as we can reasonably take. These will pay for themselves after a time (tithes), and once we switch to some other form of Government (if we do so), then the happiness improvements will be in place to help us beyond the point we are now. We may still need to Xin, but hopefully not as much.

Or perhaps we should just bulk up our military and take all the happiness Wonder cities we can find?

This brings up another idea: should we be giving the Wonder requisite techs to other civs we plan to attack? We could push them towards building the wonders for us and taking them off them.
