Sorry for the question, but it is 'Tonto' a Native America Name? (As I though after reading the joke), because it means 'fool' in Spanish.

Wow, only 7000 more and they can match the commitment that India backed out of, which was one whole division (and thus, without any of the command problems of this polyglut force).

In fact, evading them and blowing them off as much as he could. If we were scared of missiles on the launcher, we would not have spent the whole winter trying to get peacenicks on board.

Bush wanted to go in with all guns blazing but Blair knew we needed UN support or else it would be a HUGE political failure.
And Blair was right

Oh, and doesn't anyone remember Bushies little speech about how Saddam could turn New York "into a mushroom cloud"?

"Tonto" isn't a real Amerindian name. It's the name that was given to the fictional Lone Ranger's NA sidekick. The creators apparently wanted to have some subtle fun with the more perceptive members of the television audience while being blatantly racist at the same time! What fun!

It's a tough decision, but I think that "Amerindian" has to be the stupidest of all the PC terms. I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone uses it when "Native American" is less offensive and "Indian" is easier to say.

I prefer the term "Native American Indian".

Why? It retains the semi-offensive "Indian" term, but adds the "Amer-" on to make it as akward to use in everyday conversation as "Native American". I fail to see the point in using it.

Because it is an obvious name. Indians makes it too obvious to be confused for those people that actually live IN India! AmerIndian is American Indian, but easier to say... and definetly not awkward in the slightest.

I've never used it in conversation, to my knowledge. Never heard anyone else use it either. I thought it was just some liberal buzzword Mr. Fun picked up in college, until Boris used it and you admitted to an affinity for it.
