Ministers reports and timeframe.
As I want to play the first turn on tuesday evening (GMT+1) I would like to ask the ministers to provide their reports by tuesday 6PM GMT+1 latest.
From results sofar it looks like we'll have clear results in the science poll by then.
(Thanks to the VP for filling in as SM )

I hope to pm the Foreign Minister report to you sometime before your planned time to play.
However, in the meantime I have asked for additional clarification on one of the poll results from the Foreign Poll.
(Specifically what to do with the 3 diplomats) The majority rule was "as I posted below" yet reading the thread, I cannot determine if there is agreement on what that is. I have posted additional theory, and what my take on what I have read is, I just give the opportunity for additional posting if citizens/ministers so desire.

:hmm: My polls on the other hand I just posted last night (my friday night), but that shouldn't hold up anything, as I don't expect the Foreign Ministers report to change much from that last turnset (we still want embassies) and what I did poll on, I think I can safely report to you with the results I have so far whenever you want the reports.

I was planning on playing mondaynight with further sessions on the 21 and 27'th.
(So the current ministers can post polls and the october president can play his first turn october first, getting the game back in sync)
As movement is slow I'll play domewhat longer sessions so 4 sessions this month sounds allright.

Wouldn't it be great if some future version allowed for an outside party to view the entire game (a non player)? That way the ministers for instance could view the game as it is being played, and offer opinions much like the City Advisors do in the game.
(of course the cynics among you would say that this would give cheaters too easy a time, allowing them to load the game twice , and use the second to watch what everyone else is doing, but I am much to positive to ever think that! )
/me musing about the possibilities

I emailed President atawa my report 10:15 Apolyton Time, so I presume he received it.
Yesterday turned out to be an "absent from computer" day (I went fishing). I didn't catch anything, but it was an absolutely beautiful afternoon/evening and my friend caught 2 bass. The park only permits electric trolling motors on the reservoir, so it is wonderfully quiet and peaceful.

Hmmm....how to explain....
I think it would be neat if an interested party, not playing the game, could load the game and observe, what the different players are doing in an MP game, or what the human is doing in a SP game. Watching the action if you will.
If this were ever possible, theoretically the ministers could have loaded the game, watched as you made your decisions, and gave opinions based upon what happened. A democracy game of a whole new type.
Just an idea though, probably never happen, both because of the programming, and the potential for cheating that I identified above.

My databases have a "read-only" feature. So people can see the content but not change it. Is that what you mean?

Yes, I suppose so, just not data.....but civ.
Same concept though.
Anyhow, I was just musing, not a reality anytime soon, I just thought of it when I saw atawa's post about being on ICQ and having him give us updates if we were interested. Hearing updates is one thing, seeing would be another.
BTW, about next weeks turns...I will be away this weekend, but should have time to get the polls posted and the report sent to the President (High Priestess ) on time.

It's bad enough when the world can see the results of my turns in a succession game. The idea of someone looking over my shoulder and tutting as I move things around during a turn is too much for me. This new feature of Sprrowhawk's better have an off button.
