This also breaches the rules Voltaire. I know it was unintentional, but that does not reduce the harm it may cause. This is the 3rd breach of the rules you have made that involve the CyCon too.

You have informed the other factions of a link between our factions. What you wrote was up long enough that we have a copy of it, so other factions could too. Moreover, the simple thread title implies that there is something to do with the CyCon and PEACE together. It is communication with other factions before you have met in game. It was unintentional, that is true, however that does not diminish the harm to us that other factions may know a little, or if they read your post a lot, about our diplomacy.

I would ask to delete this thread, but moderators are very slow when it comes to doing something for the democracy game, so it probably won't help.

Sorry if I seem a bit rude, I do not mean to be, it is just a little worrying the events of today, and even if Googlie decides that because it was unintentional, it does not need sanctions, we have still lost out. This damages our diplomactic strategy greatly.

I have requested this thread be deleted too. I would like to offer our sincere apology. I would agree with everything function Drogue commented that this is an unfortunate mistake. I know this may not help but I still would like to offer my full believe that this was done unintentionally. I hope the fact that the posts were up only for 7 minutes and if this thread will be deleted soon would minimize the harm as best as possible.
I would also like to point out that this actually does a lot of harm to the Hive itself for its intention was greatly exposed. Of course it does not reduce any harm that it has done to you and does not elieviate the responsibility the Hive needs to take.

I believe them. I have known Voltaire through the DG for sometime, and both he and the other Hive members I know seem honest and trsutworthy. I have no reason to suspect that they did this intentionally. Indeed, why would they? How would it help them if others know of our situations? Knowledge is valuble, they know, why would they want to tell others.
Therefore I have no trouble believing that this thread was a complete accident. The only concern I have is how the information was gathered. However I have no reason to disbelieve their explanation for that either, and I would not want this to sour any future relations at all.

Oh one time, it was only one time that I (and yes 'I', not the Hive) accidentally broke the rules in a communiqué to Drogue (since the line between in-game planning and general discussion was unclear). I hardly call that constantly, particularly given the fact that I still think the matter moot. And what hacker problems?

I do believe he is referring to the person who hacked the ACDG file and sent the passwords.
And Voltaire, I do believe his comments were made in the heat of the moment and should be throroughly and completly dismissed.

Aye maties
WE de pirates resents da thought o' bein' "linked" with a cyborg. They's smart an' all but we just dinna understand how they can not be interested in beddin' a fine wench. Our fellers tried to " link" wit dem cyborg wenches and let me tell you . . . der ain't been no "links" between no cyborgs and no pirates despite our best efforts.
Now we hears the Hive women will do " anythin' fer a party" hehe . . . . WHAT ? what do you mean "anythin fer THE party"? Only one party ?? We got xenorum enough fer a dozen parties . . . oohhhh yer talkin' some odder kind o' party--like the guv'vent . . .. They'll do anythin' fer the guv'ment-- well I be de ambassador fer the PEACE guv'ment so will dem lasses do ANYTHING fer me. . .
WE be a swashbuckling group wit many fine lads. If'n ye got some fine women and a keg o' xenorum, we be pleased ta link wit whoever we meet. Jest remember lads, keep yer swords sheathed, fer yer own protection hehehe.

It's not like the link between your two factions wasn't obvious to begin with. There's no way either of you would've rocketed up the power graphs like you did otherwise.

When you put it that way you make it sound bad.
Anyway we notched the spam up by 4 times so anyone that attempts to find anything from our private forum will have a numb brain.

It does seem a little suspicious however. Obviously we must give you the benefit of the doubt, but we are not sure as to the trustworthyness of the Hive, as there have been too many concidences for us

Kody's supposed involvement in the Skywalker affair IIRC, and the Tassadar contact about the passwords.

The skywalker incident was a joke, and it wasn't hacking. If had actually hacked apolyton then I would be banned. Instead I got told not to tell anyone and to never do it again.

Would somebody please post the power graphs.
I understand that there is no independent commentator on this game because of some concerns over letting Tassadar having access to some Googlie fed basic info, but you guys could at least post the power charts.
An interested spectator (Mead)
BTW
If only those two factions have made contact and have been able to exchange techs, then it looks like each will have roughly a 50% chance of winning the game. Unless, of course, some of the other factions can meet each other, and cooperate.... Soon.
