OK -
In this film a character's wife underlines the dirty bits in his books.

Best in Show is good but if you haven't seen Spinal Tap, watch that first. It's better.
|
I've been told - repeatedly - to see those films (especially Spinal Tap), and just haven't done it.
I should rent Spinal Tap this weekend.
And I have no idea on Agathon's movie (normally I'm pretty good with this stuff, but that one just doesn't ring a bell).

Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. And you may quote me.

Slapshot is a great movie! That quote was so familiar, but I couldn't quite place it.
Never heard the new one, though.

Yup, it was Harvey. Another favorite line of mine:
"I've wrestled with reality for 35 years, Doctor, and I'm happy to state I finally won out over it."
Your up Spenc.

Its an oldie, but not as old as Harvey.
I may be paraphrasing a little
Officer 1 "My god sir, I think I've lost my leg."
Officer 2 "My god sir, I think you have."

M*A*S*H?
The second line sounds exactly like something Hawkeye would say.

Molly Bloom has it. I thought it would be tougher than it was.

"Waterloo, Waterloo, what would you say if you won the war...."
Rod Steiger possibly the only actor to play both Mussolini and Napoleon.
I also liked Orson Welles's cameo as King Louis.
Anyway, here's my film quote:
'Headmaster off : And of one thing I am certain: short hair is no indication of merit. So often I have noticed that it’s the hair rebels who step into the breach when there’s a crisis- whether it be a fire in the House, or to sacrifice a week’s holiday in order to give a party of slum children seven days in the country.'
