Very, very, nice.  
My only complaint is the coloured water and white land in the minimap. Schemes like that always confuse the hell out of me.

same here, i had to look at that 3 times before my brain registered it was europe and i knew what i was looking at  all the water in the minimap not being one color is odd too. maybe that is atlantis out in the atlantic though!
this looks good though, i hope it ends up being eu2 quality. i'm really looking forward to seeing how the politics/nobility stuff works.

Do remember that this was a time with sea monsters, dragons and generally a lack of geographic knowledge.  (take for example the size and form of Rhodes and Cyprus) I think the map is going to be a bit like an old map from that time, but of course it will be polished!
